"To barbecue" means to slow-cook foods at a low temperature for a long time with wood or charcoal.
"To grill" means to cook foods over direct heat and cook it much faster than barbecue with gas, wood or charcoal.
This is still one of my favorite recipes to do with a chicken breast or chicken kebab. Kids and adults usually love it. Served with Greek salad and grilled pita bread, makes for a good meal.
2 cup plain yogurt (Greek thick yogurt if you can of 5 or 6 %)
1 medium English cucumber
2 garlic cloves
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp Greek olive oil
1 lemon juice
Fresh oregano or dill to taste
Salt and pepper
In a bowl ;
Grate the cucumber. Place the cucumber on a paper towel and quiz the juice out of it.
Add yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic powder and crushed garlic.
Stir everything and season properly.
