"To barbecue" means to slow-cook foods at a low temperature for a long time with wood or charcoal.

"To grill" means to cook foods over direct heat and cook it much faster than barbecue with gas, wood or charcoal.

Coca Cola Sauce

This is a recipe from I found inside an old cook book a bought in a thrift store. It comes from an old flyer from the Vancouver Woodward's Retail store. Perfect to serve with ham, spareribs or chicken. This should be a great opportunity to have kids do a recipe next to you while you prepare the chicken...and they should like it since it has Coke!

2 cups of Coke... please use the real thing!
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 TSP white vinegar
1/2 cup yellow mustard
4 cloves of garlic
Cinnamon to taste
1 1/2 cornstarch diluted in 3 TBSP of water or coca cola

Mix together in a pot all the ingredient except the cornstarch which you will use once the sauce is boiling to thicken things up to your desire texture. From beginning to end 10 minutes and you're done!
