Kelowna



Kelowna is an amazing city I can now call home, well, I actually live in West Kelowna or Westbank but Kelowna is where everything happens for me. The summer days get really hot, the beaches are amazing and the people are friendly. One thing I enjoy doing in the summer is a picnic with my wife.

If you get a chance stop at one of Kelowna's great gourmet shop and buy some food you'll see what Kelowna is all about... I suggest that you start at Valoroso and get yourself a few pieces of cheeses, a few slices of prosciutto and a couple olives and head to the bakery to buy a fresh baguette. Drive to Hooked on Seafood or Cod-Father and buy yourself a few pieces of candy salmon and voila you got yourself a nice picnic.

Now that you have all your food, drive to one of the local wineries and buy a bottle of your favorite wine.

Now pick up your spouse from work without telling him/her where you are going, drive to one the great local beach, park your car, walk towards the Okanagan lake, and set your blanket on the grass area bordering the sandy beach.

This is what Kelowna is about; the opportunity to have a beautiful meal with your spouse minutes from all commodities. Think about golfing until your arms hurt, swimming or water skiing until your skin start to shrink or even book yourself a tour and drink wine until your become an expert!

There are many places more beautiful in the world I'm sure, but none of these place are Kelowna and none of them are call home!
